1. Introduction

ViewPrime ("we," "us," "our") operates the ViewPrime application and website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

We designed ViewPrime with a privacy-first architecture. The application processes content locally on your device. We collect the absolute minimum data necessary to operate the Service — and in most cases, we collect nothing at all.

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

2. What We Collect

2.1 What we do NOT collect

We want to be explicit. ViewPrime does not collect:

• What content you watch or search for
• Device advertising identifiers (IDFA, GAID)
• Location data (GPS or IP-based)
• Contacts, camera, microphone, or photos
• Behavioral profiles or usage analytics
• Any data sold or shared with third parties

There are no third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking SDKs in ViewPrime.

2.2 Data stored locally on your device only

The following data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to us:

• Watch history — titles and timestamps of content you've viewed
• Watchlist — content you've saved for later
• Playback progress — resume positions for partially watched content
• Session cookies — technical tokens required to access content sources, stored in an encrypted local cookie jar
• App preferences — your selected provider, quality settings, and UI preferences

2.3 Support communications

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to you. We do not add you to any mailing list.

2.4 Website visits

Our website may log standard server access data (IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp) through our hosting provider (Vercel). This data is not linked to any individual identity and is not used for tracking or profiling.

3. How We Use Information

The only personal data we ever handle is your email address — and only if you contact us for support. We use it solely to respond to your message. That is the entirety of our data use.

We do not send newsletters, promotional emails, or any unsolicited communications.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Vercel (website hosting)

Our website is hosted on Vercel, Inc. Vercel may collect server access logs as part of standard hosting. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.

4.2 Content sources

When ViewPrime fetches content, your device makes direct network requests to third-party content sources. These requests originate from your device — we do not proxy, intercept, or log them on any server we operate. These sources may be subject to their own privacy policies.

4.3 No payment processors

ViewPrime is free. We do not process payments. If you choose to donate via a third-party platform (GitHub Sponsors, Buy Me a Coffee, PayPal, UPI), those transactions are handled entirely by those third parties under their own privacy policies. We do not receive your payment details.

5. Data Security

• All network communications from the app use TLS 1.2+ encryption
• Local session cookies are stored in platform-specific secure storage
• We operate no databases containing personal user data
• Our website enforces standard security headers

No electronic system is 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

Because we hold almost no personal data, most privacy rights are exercised directly on your device:

• Watch history, watchlist, playback progress: Clear these in the app settings at any time
• All local data: Uninstall the app to delete everything permanently
• Support emails: Email us at privacy@viewprime.app to request deletion of any correspondence we hold

6.1 GDPR (EEA / UK / Switzerland)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have rights under GDPR including access, correction, deletion, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Contact us at privacy@viewprime.app to exercise these rights.

6.2 California (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents may request disclosure or deletion of any personal information we hold by contacting privacy@viewprime.app.

7. Children's Privacy

ViewPrime is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has contacted us, email privacy@viewprime.app and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on our website with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
